Dometic RTX 1000 12V Air Conditioning Unit – CoolAir ‘Truck’ Air Con
The Dometic RTX 1000 12V is an air conditioning unit with a built-in inverter. So, this means it can run from a DC 12V power source. The Dometic CoolAir range are powerful self-contained air conditioners, and have been designed as an air conditioning unit for truck cabs. However, they are also suitable for use in campervans and motorhomes.
The RTX 1000 is supplied with the Dometic CoolAir RTX CCBL-12 wire harness kit. This allows you to connect the air con unit to your campervan electrical system.

The CoolAir has a cooling capacity of 1000W.
Power usage
The Dometic RTX 1000 12V only uses 18A per hour in eco mode. Additionally, Dometic recommend a minimum 300Ah battery bank to run their CoolAir air con units.
Use cases
Although the Dometic CoolAir RTX 1000 is primarily designed for a truck cab, it is also suitable for campervans and motorhomes. It is suitable for ambient temperatures up to 52oC.
Operation volume
The Dometic RTX 1000 is amazingly quiet in operation. A two-cylinder compressor works silently.

So, this makes for excellent cooling performance and amazingly efficient and quiet operation.
