The Jackery Explorer 240 is a 240Wh portable power station that provides an all-in-one solution to an off-grid electrical system. Featuring a lithium leisure battery, a 200W inverter and a charge controller, the Jackery Explorer 240 makes a great entry-level option for off-grid power.

240Wh lithium leisure battery

The Jackery Explorer 240 has a 240Wh lithium battery. This battery has a lifecycle of 500 cycles. After this time the battery capacity will be reduced to ~80% of its total.

Below you can see an example of how long the battery will last charging various appliances:

• Phone – 24 charges
• Laptop – 3.5 charges
• Drone – 4 charges
• Camera – 10 charges

200W pure sine wave inverter

The built-in pure sine wave inverter has a total continuous rating of 200W and a surge rating of 400W. This means you can power a mains appliance rated up to 200W, such as laptops, camera chargers and hair straighteners.

Recharging methods

The Jackery 240 has a built-in MPPT charge controller, meaning you can recharge the power station using a portable solar panel. As well as solar, it’s also possible to recharge the Jackery using a mains plug socket or a 12V car socket.

Recharging times:

• 60W solar panel – 5.5 hours
• Mains plug socket – 3.5 hours
• Car cigarette lighter socket – 5 hours

Multiple output ports

The Jackery Explorer 240 features the following output ports:

• 2x 12V USB port
• 1x 12V car cigarette lighter socket
• 1x 230V plug socket (up to 200W)

Built-in BMS (battery management system)

The integrated BMS ensures the lithium battery is fully protected from over and under-voltage, short circuit and low temperatures.

LCD screen

An LCD display allows you to monitor the state of charge and power usage, displaying power in via charging methods and power out from appliance usage.
