Campervan electric kits
A full campervan electrics kit contains everything you need to wire in a complete campervan electrical system. As well as all major components, it includes wiring, fuses, busbars etc, and detailed installation guidance.
Our full campervan electric kits
Our complete campervan electric kits feature components from our most common Nomadic Energy systems. We design over 2,000 electrical systems per year, and every single one is different, but there are many components we see time and again. So, we’ve designed a few full camper electrics kits for van conversions based on these. Plus, we’ve made them customisable, so you can choose certain aspects such as battery monitor and smart functionality.

What is a campervan electric kit?
You probably landed on this page because you’re planning the electrics for your campervan and you’re not sure exactly what you need. Perhaps you know loosely what size battery bank, inverter and solar array you require, but you’re not confident ordering every single cable, connector and fuse required to fully install the system. A campervan electric kit can help with this problem, as it should contain every single component required to fully install that aspect of the system.
We have put together a number of full campervan electrical kits based on our most popular systems. Whether you’re looking for a fully off-grid system or you will spend time on campsites, we have a number of kits available. Plus, they’re all customisable so you can make sure they’re suitable for your van.
Alternatively, we have created kits for each subsystem within a campervan electrical system. So, you can find solar panel kits, inverter kits, kits for pretty much any major electrical system component. And all kits include everything you need to fully install that product within your system.

Not all kits are created equal
Lots of websites sell campervan electrical kits, to varying degrees of quality. When you’re purchasing a campervan wiring kit online, it’s very important that you check it includes everything required to fully install that part of the system. That means all cables, lugs, fuses and fuse holders, as well as the major components.
We reviewed kits on some of the major websites selling campervan electrical components and kits. We found that many of these were either missing vital safety components such as fuses, or simply didn’t include everything required to actually install the system. So, instead of a complete kit, you actually just end up purchasing 70% of what’s required. And you’re left to figure out the rest yourself.
Our campervan electric kits
We previously didn’t sell kits on our website, because we design bespoke systems through our design service Nomadic Energy. However, we realised that some people don’t require a full system, or they simply would prefer to tackle things themselves. So, we’ve created a range of customisable electrical kits. As well as a few full system kits, we have hundreds of subsystem kits, so you can mix and match to create the exact system you need. Additionally, each kit is customisable so you can choose exactly what you do and don’t want to include.
Full campervan electrical kits
Our full campervan electrical kits are based on the most common systems we see through our electrical design service, Nomadic Energy. We’ve still made them customisable, so you choose a few different options such as battery monitors, smart functionality and batteries.
Mixed use kits
Our mixed use kits are for those who will split their time between campsites and off-grid. The ‘Explorer’ range include a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger, which allow you to recharge your batteries via hookup, and power 230V appliances off-grid. The ‘Weekend Warrior’ kit includes a battery charger. So, you can recharge your batteries at a campsite but only use 12V appliances off-grid. This kit would be suitable for anyone spending their time mainly on campsites.
We’ve included a battery option suitable for the included inverter, or you can select to not include batteries and choose your own. Each kit includes a solar array suitable for the recommended batteries, and everything else required to fully install your system.
For more information about each kit and what’s included, view the description on the product page.
Off-grid kits
Our off-grid kits are for those who will spend their time fully off-grid and don’t require hookup. The ‘Explorer’ range include an inverter which will allow you to power 230V appliances off-grid. The ‘Pure & Simple Off-Grid’ kit doesn’t include an inverter, for those who only have 12V appliances.
We’ve included a battery option suitable for the included inverter, or you can select to not include batteries and choose your own. Each kit includes a solar array suitable for the recommended batteries, and everything else required to fully install your system.

‘Subsystem’ campervan electrical kits
If you want more flexibility than purchasing a full system kit, or perhaps you’re just looking to upgrade a single part of your system, you can pick from our subsystem kits. These are grouped into everything required for an individual section of the system – e.g. the solar system.
We’ve created a page for each type of subsystem kit. This means you can learn more about what’s in each type of kit, and find the perfect one for your usage and requirements.
