Campervan solar panel kits
A solar array enables you to spend time off-grid in your campervan. Instead of plugging into a campsite hook up, you can recharge your leisure batteries simply from the sun.
Our solar panel kits include either rigid solar panels or flexible solar panels, and a Victron MPPT charge controller. Additionally, they include everything you need to install a solar subsystem as part of your campervan electrical system. So, as well as the solar panels and charge controller, it all contains brackets, cable seals, and all cables, lugs, fuses and fuse holders required. Simply select the solar panel type and array size you require, and then choose any variables such as bracket type and smart functionality.
Not only that, but all of our kits come with a free sub-system wiring diagram and installation guide. This explains exactly how to connect all the components, as well as how to correctly configure the settings. So, you can be confident in installing your system yourself.
What size solar array do I need?
When calculating what size solar array you need for your campervan, there are a several factors to consider. Firstly, how big is your battery bank and how quickly do you need to recharge it? Secondly, where will you be travelling? Additionally, if you will travel in winter, this will have a large impact on the size of solar array you require due to the angle of the sun in the sky. What type of solar panel should I use?
Next, you need to decide whether you want to install rigid or flexible solar panels. Whilst flexible solar panels can be more ‘stealth’, rigid solar panels typically have a longer lifespan and are slightly more efficient.

What does a campervan solar panel kit typically include?
Our kits include every single component you need to fully install the solar subsystem within your campervan electrical system. So, as well as the main components, all cable, lugs, fuses, etc. are included.
There are some variables to choose from on our kits. For example, if you will connect to busbars or a Lynx Distributor – this will affect the required fuses for your system. So there may be some variation versus what you see below. However, this should give you a good idea of what’s included in each kit.
